The most affordable route back to Barcelona was via Singapore, a long 14-hour haul. Since Phuket is close, I decided to fly out early and spend a full day exploring Singapore before my midnight connection.
Singapore is incredible. It reminded me of Hong Kong’s financial district, with massive malls and walkways connecting buildings. However, Singapore feels much cleaner, more organised, and surprisingly uncrowded (perhaps because it was a Sunday). At times, I had these incredible streets and views all to myself. I was particularly blown away by the Marina Bay Sands, the famous “ship” resting on top of three huge skyscrapers. Absolutely breathtaking.
And now, it’s finally time to go home.
This has arguably been the most interesting experience of my life. If you have the chance to travel, do it.
Trip Stats & Highlights:
People always ask me, “What was your favourite place?” I honestly can’t answer that. I wasn’t looking for a new home, Barcelona is my place on earth, and that isn’t changing anytime soon. What I loved most was the freedom to travel while working, performing concerts, and meeting incredible people across the globe.
So, this is it! I hope following this journey has inspired you to start one of your own!
